Chetan RamchandraSuryawanshi

Chetan has spent more than two decades putting Singapore cricket on the map, first as a player and captain, and now as a business builder.

Born in Pune, India, he learned the game in his home city, coming through the club scene with the Shivajians. He captained Maharashtra at U16 and U19 level, was recognised as Maharashtra's top U16 cricketer, and went on to play for West Zone and India U15.

Singapore has been home for 24 years. Chetan has represented Singapore since 2004 and rose to captain the national team, leading the side at the 2018 Asia Cup Qualifier and ICC World Cricket League Division Three. Along the way he won 75 Player of the Match awards for Singapore and set two world records, including becoming the first cricketer to take a hat-trick and score a century in the same international 50-over match, against Malaysia in 2014.

His career has taken him well beyond Singapore. He captained Devgiri Emperors to the 2011 Maharashtra Premier League title and also played for teams including Galaxy Gladiators, Rockingham Mandurah and Bolton Indians. Today he is a Level 3 high-performance coach.

SKTB began with a simple idea: give players the premium products their coaches recommend. Chetan had always wanted to build it as part of a complete sports ecosystem, and as co-founder and CEO of SportsKingdom he drives the business development that makes that possible.

The hardest part has been the supply chain. What he's proudest of is seeing SKTB products in the hands of players across Asia, America and Africa. For Chetan, building from Singapore comes down to one goal: putting Singapore on the cricket map.
