The story

A hard-hitting young Singapore batter, Jatin was named Best Batsman of the U15 JID in 2025, with a T20 best of 68 not out and a 31-ball unbeaten 66.

Jatin found cricket at 12, watching a game on TV with his father. Seeing how hooked his son was, his dad began coaching him at home with a plastic bat and tennis balls, and by 13 Jatin had moved on to the hard ball.

The rise since has been quick. At 14 he struck his first fifty in the NSG finals, helping his school lift the trophy. In 2025 he was named Best Batsman of the U15 JID, playing in the SCA U15 league, and he has since shown his range: an unbeaten 66 from just 31 balls, a T20 best of 68 not out, and best bowling figures of 4/12 with his fast-medium.

It has not all come easily. Early on he was injury-prone and lacked fitness, so he made fitness and injury prevention part of his game, building the engine to bat through the longer formats.

Jatin sees real promise in Singapore cricket: good coaches, good grounds and a deep pool of young talent that pushes everyone forward, even when the weather plays havoc with the calendar. His goal is to represent Singapore, and he is in no hurry to slow down.
