The story

A Saudi Arabia international with 42 caps, more than 500 T20I runs and 39 wickets, Hisham is a mystery spinner and match-winning all-rounder who captained his country to victory in the 2024 ACC Challenger Cup final.

Hisham was introduced to cricket by his father and has been playing since 2003. Along the way he made mystery spin his weapon, a rare skill in Gulf associate cricket, and he describes himself as Saudi Arabia's first mystery spinner.

His proudest moment came in the final of the 2024 ACC Challenger Cup. Captaining Saudi Arabia, he saw his side slip into an early collapse in the chase, then helped steer them home to victory, and was named Player of the Match.

Saudi Arabia does not yet have turf facilities, but the team takes on the world stage with complete confidence. Hisham has had to tune out his share of doubters along the way, and his motto says the rest: never back down.

With 42 international caps, more than 500 T20I runs and 39 wickets, his next goal is to take his game global in franchise leagues around the world.
