The story

A stylish top-order batter and aggressive off-spinner, Ekansh had a breakout 2026: 17 fifties, a first century and an average of 52.43, finishing as Best Batsman of BFL Season 2.

Ekansh's parents love watching cricket, so a bat has been in his hand for as long as he can remember. The feeling he had then has only grown over the years, to the point where cricket has become his life.

He plays in a Singapore scene that is growing fast, with remarkable numbers taking up the game across every age group and grounds such as the Padang to play on. The SCA league is demanding, with strong sides such as SCC, CSC and IA testing him every time he faces them, and the fight for places in the age-group teams keeps raising the standard.

Ekansh thrives on it. A top-order batter who loves to bat through an innings, he is also an attacking off-spinner with best figures of 5/7. His 2026 season was a breakout: 17 half-centuries, an average of 52.43, and in September his first century, an unbeaten 102. He finished the year as Best Batsman of the Tournament in BFL Season 2.

Behind the numbers is constant hard work, and the next target is clear: to play for Singapore U19.
